This project is a series of eight narrative illustrations created for Settle Stories, a local charity organisation. The illustrations were designed for primary school audiences and were featured in a regional Christmas activity video.
Drawing inspiration from a Russian folk tale about Santa Claus, the project focuses on visual storytelling and character-driven illustration. Through warm colour palettes, expressive characters, and clear narrative sequencing, the illustrations translate traditional folklore into an accessible and engaging visual language. The project demonstrates how illustration can communicate stories across cultural contexts while maintaining emotional warmth and narrative clarity.
This illustration series received the Merit Award at the iJUNGLE Illustration Awards 2024 and was shortlisted for the HiiiBrand Illustration Awards 2024.
